The children in second grade had a constructive day thinking about communities. They worked in groups to design specific buildings and had certain jobs to help their groups function. The groups used tools and cardboard to make buildings and then decorate them. Afterwards all the students in the grade level brought their buildings to the hard top on a MAP which was drawn with chalk on the pavement. It was a productive day for the second graders for sure.
